Senior Experience
The Storytelling & Film Senior Experience is an immersive, work-based learning experience where students collaborate with faculty and film industry professionals to produce original narrative films from concept to completion. Through authentic production roles, students develop technical expertise, creative confidence, and the professional skills needed to succeed in the film and media industries.
In Spring 2026, students partnered with Next Generation Storytellers on an original short film production supported by the ODU Office of the Provost, the College of Arts and Letters Dean's Office, the Monarch Humanities Internship Academy, and the Department of Communication and Theatre Arts. This collaborative ePortfolio showcases the finished films while documenting the creative process, mentorship, and student growth that made the project possible.

Coffee for Two
When Nick, your average tech bro, sees his ex-girlfriend in a coffee shop, he convinces a stranger to pretend to be his girlfriend. Will this elaborate lie pan out with Nick victorious? Only one way to find out…
Perdita
Perdita is the story of Connor, a man moving through the five stages of grief due to the loss of his beloved dog, Perdita. As the story progresses, we see him grind his way from denial to acceptance and presumably recovery.
